TO ALL THE NIGHT OWLS ..
Guess I'm thinking that these effects seems to be quiet important for us humans to know. Because, there are very few people tends to know the facts that sleep deprivation can cause various effects in our life . Sleep deprivation happens when you did not get much sleep in your daily life and only get 4-5 hours of sleep in a day whereas the sufficient hours that you need as teens are at least 9 hours of sleeping! What the heck have you guys been doing to sleep that little time? I mean sleeping is like HEAVEN! its better to sleep than going for lunch ! at least that's what I think!
The first effect is on the most important organ in our body which is the Brain! When you are getting less sleep, the stimulant sent to your brain is getting lesser, so , you tend to be susceptible to negative feelings , such as, irritability , aggression , and impatience . For instance , when you are sleepy during lessons and your friend is trying to make you stay awake by pinching your skin or massages your neck even without you asking it will irritate you so badly , ain't it? That is what we call as facing 'emotional negativity' . Those who are facing emotional negativity have trouble building relationships and are not socially adept !during this time (adolescent), our brain is at the final developing stages and due to it , the brain is put under excess amounts of stress , causing it not to work to its full potential.
Okay , now the 2nd one! teenagers who receive less than 9 hours of sleep in general also have a lowered academic potential . These students often does not have attention span and decreased learning and thinking abilities . Therefore , they tend to get lower than potential grades. so , would you like it that you can't perform to your best potential and ends up disappointing everyone? Lack of sleep will cause drops in G.P.A (Grade Point Average), which can impact future life plans such as college and job opportunities . Nowadays , for us , the younger generations to be able to compete in the world of adults , must be able to provide for ourselves in times of need . It is harder to land a job without going to college first . Living as adults , requires certain amount of education acquired from learning which cannot be done on lack of sleep . so , SLEEP GUYS!!!
The 3rd one is , teens who are sleep deprived often have life changing physical ailments. they can have droopy skin , and eye bags around their eyes . they are also prone to skin problems . The most common correlation between sleep deprivation and health problems is obesity! Consequently they will lead to higher risk health problems such as diabetes , high blood pressure , and other long terms health problems . Diseases like these are often lead to shorter lifespan and untimely death! Teenagers should get the recommended amount of sleep every night .
So , based on what had been written above , sleep is indeed very important ! don't try to do unnecessary things that will affect your sleeping hours . You should know when one does not get enough sleep , they might go crazy or even die ! so don't risk your precious lifes, golden brains and glowing skins to such insignificant matters like , chatting , video games , and OTPs with your BFs / GFs . Love yourself . Because you don't worth nothing , you worth EVERYTHING .
